Beyoncé began 2016 with a wave of controversy after her politically and racially charged performance at Super Bowl 50. The momentum then continued to build until the release of her visual album, Lemonade.
Of all the songs on the album that captured the public and led to much speculation, Sorry took center stage, where Beyoncé unapologetically accused Jay Z of cheating.
There was also a great deal of debating about who the other woman was, which Beyoncé referred to as “Becky with the Good Hair” not once, but twice in the song.
Not surprising then, the superstar chose this track for a standalone release.
